Ainbu Keneya Project
Directly from the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, through the female soul and the sacred symbols of an ancestral lineage barley known by their own people.
The indigenous art woven by the hands of the Huni Kuin women are present in a partnership full of love.
R.I.TO presents:
Ainbu Keneya, the women of the Huni Kuin indigenous people. In this partnership, we join our forces on behalf of our feminine to create art, fashion and sustainability, thus expanding the ancestral knowledge of the sacred symbols of the “kene”, and empowering women who, like us, fight for their space, recognition, freedom and equality.
It was for this purpose, after much effort and hard work we arrived at the result, and gave a voice to these women warriors. This work is just the first part of a great journey that we will be embarking on together.
We welcome you on this journey with us!
This piece is crafted from certified, sustainable ecological cotton fabric, incorporating the artistry of indigenous weaving, and handmade with ecological thread, all made in Brazil.
Each piece is unique, with only one in each color available.
The Kene is a sacred design/symbol hand-woven by the women of the Huni Kuin people. Each Kene has a meaning and brings a special vibration to the wearer.
Our waste was almost 0%, with 99% of the fabric being reused. Everything else is transformed into pieces made with pet work. ♻
This dress is not only beautiful but also a unique piece that is super elegant and comfortable, with an Amazonian yellow butterfly-inspired shade.
The items sold will contribute to the progress of the “Ainbu Kaneya” project, empowering Huni Kuin women to produce their own garments, from raw materials to the final product. This initiative will help create the Huni Kuin brand and generate sustainable income for the Huni Kuin indigenous women.
